Julie's Roadhouse

Julies Roadhouse

Julie's Roadhouse was constructed in 1999 / 2000 to have a place to serve food and other refreshments to the public during the Summer Harvest Festival and other events.  The front was designed and built by members of the Franklin Grove Area Historical Society using lumber salvaged from several old barns that were due for destruction.  To keep things as period as possible, post and beam construction was used and the boards and battens were nailed on with square cut nails.

Future plans are to relocate this structure and use it for the front of one of the stores to be located in the business district area of our evolving priairie community.
